Foxwood High School

About

The website tries to cover all aspects of the schools life, from its opening as Foxwood in the mid 1950's to its closure as East Leeds High in 1996, as well as its use as The East Leeds Family Learning Centre from 1996 to 2009 prior to its demolition the same year.

I've tried to Cover some of its major achievements over its many years, including its sporting triumphs, after school activities, The Foxwood Bandits, The Foxwood Flyer and Foxwoods use in the 1980's television production for YTV, The Beiderbeck Trilogy.   (webpage under construction)

The Photo section contains many pictures of the building before its closure in 2009 with photos during and after its demolition in 2010, together with a photographic record of its activities over the years, including one's provided by some of its many staff and pupils.

Foxwood in the Dales covers it residential teaching activities at The Golden Lion and Foxwood Farm in Horton in Ribblesdale.

The site also tries to list all former teaching staff who taught at the school from 1956 - 1996, the list is far from complete and any help with missing names and dates would be appreciated.

On the links page you find links to other websites connected in some way to the school and its wider community.
